Gazprom says European gas storages less than 32% full
MOSCOW, Feb 21 (PRIME) -- The European storages hold less than 5% of gas pumped last summer, or a total of less than 32%, Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Monday on its Telegram channel.
"The European storages hold less than 5% of the gas pumped in last summer,” Gazprom said.
“The total level of European gas storage replenishment amounts to less than 32%. At the same time, the underground storages in Germany were emptied by more than two thirds and of France by more than three thirds," the company said.
Gazprom quoted Gas Infrastructure Europe as saying that the volume of active gas in the European storages stood at 21%, or 8.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) less than in 2021. The consumers took 95.3%, or 44.8 bcm of the gas pumped in the summer season, meaning there is less than 5% of gas left.
